It wasn't the name, it was the message that I voted on. :p

After you get to Lord/Lady, it takes more than one good message to get the next point.

Sir/Lady requires at least one good message.

Lord/Lady requires maybe two consistent messages.

Duke Duchess requires maybe 3-4 good quality messages

Prince/Princess requires consistently high quality messages with decent length.

What is a 'good' message? Well, it depends. Not everyone has English as their first language, so I can't be a jerk and reject messages that have the effort put into them. It varies greatly but I check the consistency and sometimes I message the person directly.

Iceworks Return, you have one good message sitting and waiting. I was waiting on 1-2 more to follow :p One message doesn't always mean one point each time.

this is part of a 7 messages exchange on one of my old characters...i "only" got Duke for it :)

Rexar, was standing on the road staring into the distance. He knew, if he made one more step he will enter the Great Kingdom of Rebirth. He was feeling strange - it has been a great many days since he last was inside the realm of Visual Utopia. Remembering his old days in the kingdom of Mirror, a warm shiver went through his spine and he could not help it but smile! His Brother-in-arms, General Gokken, was there, in Mirror, when Rexar decided that he needs to walk away, for the good of the whole kingdom. But now, after all those eras, it was Gokken, who called Rexar to come to the aid of the Great Kingdom of Rebirth. So the Troll-master, came to reunite once again with his Brother-in-arms, and to make the life of their enemies hard...

From now, only time can tell what will happen.

* * * * * * * *

Grrrraaaaauuughhhh!!! the stone balls were hitting the walls of his city. In the west Rexar saw a big flog of nazguls which was pouring fear down the outer defences, just underneath the nazguls there were hordes of black gaias who were coming close. The Royal Order of Claydmore, was stepping to attack Rebirth. Rexar was put in charge of the western defenses of the kingdom. He was alone here in the battlefield, and he knew that if he fails, the kingdom will be wide open for attacks from the west, and it will be a disaster. All the main kingdom armies were sent towards the frontal offensive.

The nazguls have managed to destroyed his south tower. His mages were ready and eager....
"Steady...!" came the voice of their leader, Rexar! "Wait for my signal!"
He was waiting for the nazguls to fly away from the grounds of the city. He was waiting for them to fly over the plains so he can give the signal!
The nazguls took down another catapult, and flew over the last wall..
"NOOOWWWW!" Screamed Rexar, and at this exact moment a massive spark fallowed by another, and another, as the clouds upon the nazguls became orange in color. The nazguls, as if they knew what was coming started flying in different directions, but it was too late for them as a raindrops of fire started falling from the sky, burning everything on its way. Counting over 4000 nazguls going down from the Rain Of Fire, Rexar concentrated his attention on the main power force of around 200 000 troops. At the same moment one of his adviser came to him and with a grim on his face started:
"Sire, word has just came from Fear Meh...We have lost the stronghold!"
"Send a word to all our troops to gather in our last stronghold, Mission, and let us hope that the reinforcements from Rexarville will arrive in time"
Rexar moved his sight towards the battlefield as his adviser was running on the other direction. He was thinking that this is really the end, as his main economic arteries were taken and destroyed. Now only miracle could save him and his people.

* * * * * *

The miracle happened!!! The main offensive lines of Rebirth have broken through the defense of the Royal Order. Our kingdom's armies were cutting through the main industrial areas of the Royal Order. The reinforcement armies which were sent to finish Rexar, were sent back to the enemy's main core.
Rexar saw that as a good sign, and he ordered all his troops to attack and lay a siege on the defensive blocker of Deadmenwalking, a dark city, having its name totally justify its reputation. Rexar's troops were ordered immediate attack on that fortress. After a week of anxious waiting, Rexar's troops finally laid a siege on that town. Rexar, himself, in the front line of the battle, gave order for attack. The glorious victory was just a matter of time now.

TWO WEEKS LATER

The Royal Order of Claydmore was destroyed in a matter of two weeks, and now Rexar was smiling, standing on the walls of his eleventh captured city. He was happy, as the thread was removed.

Winter, era 42
------------------------

It was an eventful era for Rexar and the Kingdom of Rebirth. Rexar's forces were winning and losing battles against the kingdom of Foundation. Rexar and Rebirth managed to make a push towards Foundation's cities, of which they took couple of cities. But Rexar felt sick so he could not lead his armies. And when a commander is not in the ranks of the army, it looses morale and prestige. There were thousands of soldiers perished from both sides, but the reinforcements from Rebirth were just a little bit late. By the time they arrived, Rexar lost his cities, in the territory of Foundation. At the end of that war, Rebirth and Foundation signed a Cease Fire, and that was the end of that war.

Straight after that, Rebirth went to war three of the Gratest ever kingdoms - Revelation, Phi Factor and Dynamite.

What I got? Nothing.

Why should I continue to RP if more than 100 messages, a story and a thread that turned into a RP flame war means no points?

This system is broken. Deal with that.

It is true...if the RP moderator(myself) takes the time to do it. I have been thinking of doing it for awhile...if people want their history checked, they can tell me. If people are too lazy to ask...tough :p

You get only 1 point for history per era I believe :)

Last Note: Due to rules set in place a long time ago and a galaxy far far away, I can't be giving out more than 3 points per person per era. I don't even know if eras are the same as they used to be, but that way someone doesn't just jump from Mr/Ms all the way to Prince/Princess. Septim is like the only guy to do that and that was before Scientist got over his dementia :p But continue RP'ing and getting better at it.

Mr. Uwer, unless you were using a different name, there was not a SINGLE message of yours that was listed. Not a single one. Out of the 200+ messages I reviewed, about half of them were spam, profanity, and other stuff that I had to go through and clean out and subtract points from people who were quite...interesting. Now,

I did have a case where someone was sending RP messages and the person they sent them to did NOT hit the + button but told the person that they were. While sad, there is nothing I can do about it except have you harass them or pick a different partner.

I gave out points to people with a Mr. title VERY freely. As long as it looked like they were trying for RP points, I gave at least 1. I understand that there are people on this forum who don't speak or write English as their first language, so I can't punish for that.

Blah blah blah etc etc etc

Send any concerns to my inbox. Whether it is for checking history for RP points(You HAVE to send me the link to your history. I do not sit on here and browse. I don't even play the game. I haven't for 6 years. I just do this because I learned to enjoy writing on these forums and Septim/Cidellus got me started on it. And because I still have VU in my favorites bar out of old habits. Heck, I was inactive for like 8 months. There were 1-2 others who also did this but...eh. :D

No, we do not give out points for doing stories on the forum. Zeta specifically told us that we cannot do that. It is ONLY for messages. We fought for years for it and didn't win, so if you have any concerns, please send them to:

REMINDER OF WHATS REQUIRED

- points (for now) are only earnable through reported messages (plus icon)

- points are awarded for playing in your game character, and consider that this is a game with magic, ogres, wizard and the such. Its fantasy, immerse your character in that.

- only 1 point can be earned each week

- additional points require additional RP volume. either longer messages are several over the week

- message writing is the act of one leader sending a message to another. these RP are traditionally in letter format

- dont write like a screen writer. don't set the scene with [a shadowy figure approaches... etc]. write it as if you are writing a letter. creative folks can figure this out easily

- dont break character

- the MINUS icon was meant to remove points for poor RP. i do not intend to recognize that
